HANNA’s Pantry, INC. is open for business!

HANNA’s Pantry, formerly a committee of the HANNA Foundation,

has established its own nonprofit organization.

(Susquehanna Township)  July 1, 2023 - HANNA's Pantry, a Susquehanna Township-based food pantry, is now its own 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization. The Pantry’s vision is to eliminate hunger in the community through engagement, collaboration, and leadership. They started their quest as a committee of the HANNA Foundation in 2019. They distribute food and other essentials to the Township’s students, their families, and other residents in need of assistance.

HANNA’s Pantry is a volunteer-led nonprofit organization that provides food to more than 300 food-insecure member families two Saturdays each month. Housed at Susquehanna Township High School, pantry members choose from a variety of groceries as they drive through a series of stations that offer proteins, grains, fruits and vegetables, dairy products, and household items.      A pantry member sums up the sentiments expressed by many other members: “I cannot thank HANNA’s Pantry enough for all the help provided to my family. You and your volunteers are truly angels...”

The Pantry is a member agency of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and operates in partnership with the Susquehanna Township School District.  Community individuals, religious organizations, businesses, and local foundations provide the operational funds and volunteers.
